Recent reforms under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 (ECCTA) have introduced significant changes to UK company law, including mandatory identity verification for company directors, People with Significant Control (PSCs), and those filing documents at Companies House. These measures aim to improve corporate transparency, increase accountability, and help tackle economic crime.

DTM Legal is an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP), meaning we are approved to complete identity verification on your behalf and certify compliance directly to Companies House. Our Identity Verification & Company Secretarial Services

Companies House ID Verification

As an authorised Corporate Service Provider, we can verify the identity of individuals and certify compliance to Companies House on your behalf.

Our service includes:

• Verifying individual identities to Companies House standards

• Managing the verification process end-to-end

• Certifying compliance directly to Companies House

To complete the process, we require:

• A mobile number and email address for each individual being verified

  • Each person must provide a unique email address (not shared)

  • Contact details are not published by Companies House but will be used to send the unique verification code

• Completion of a secure Thirdfort digital identity check (via text or email link)

Once initiated, individuals will receive instructions to download the Thirdfort app and complete their verification securely through their mobile device.

Please note that a biometric passport is required in order to meet the Companies House verification requirements under the ID Document Validation Technology (IDVT) option, as we do not conduct manual or in-person checks.

Cost: £100 + VAT per form filed with Companies House
Disbursements: £9.88 per person (Thirdfort enhanced check)
Payment: Payable in advance

Company Secretarial Support Services

We offer an annual company secretarial service for businesses seeking ongoing compliance and governance support.

Our annual service includes:

• Filing the annual confirmation statement (CS01)

• Acting as the company’s registered office

• Scanning and forwarding official mail

• Managing routine Companies House filings (e.g. officer changes)

Annual fee: £350 + VAT + expenses

If you appoint DTM Legal for company secretarial services, we will waive the fee for the director verification service.

Additional services, such as updating statutory registers, can be provided at our standard hourly rates unless otherwise agreed.

Outsourcing company secretarial duties can assist with ongoing compliance and reduce administrative burden

As the new regime becomes fully operational, timely compliance will be essential to avoid disruption to company administration and filings.
