Beth Thompson is a Solicitor in DTM Legal’s, Corporate & Commercial team, where she works on a wide range of acquisitions and corporate legal matters. Beth joined DTM Legal in 2025 as a Paralegal and qualified as a solicitor in 2026. Before joining DTM Legal, Beth gained valuable experience working as a paralegal both in private practice and in-house, building a solid foundation in corporate law.
Education and Training
Beth graduated with a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) from BPP Law School and completed her Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the University of Law, impressively achieving both qualifications whilst working full-time. Beth also holds Level 2 qualifications from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) in both the “Fundamentals of Islamic Finance” and the “Fundamentals of Financial Services.”
Role within the DTM Legal Team
In her role at DTM Legal, Beth advises and supports clients across a broad range of corporate matters. Her work includes assisting with acquisitions and disposals, drafting and reviewing corporate documentation, managing due diligence and disclosure exercises, and advising on company administration and statutory compliance.
Beth also assists with the review, maintenance and reconstitution of statutory registers, helping clients ensure their company records are accurate, up to date and fit for purpose. She works closely with business owners, management teams and fellow advisers to help deliver transactions efficiently and with clear, practical advice throughout the process.
Beth actively seeks opportunities for public speaking, driven by her interest in theatre and film studies. Her participation in public speaking classes and group debates has significantly enhanced her communication skills and ability to construct compelling arguments, leading to her invitation as a panellist at Allen & Overy’s MENA Women’s Day event.

ESG Contribution
Committed to making a positive social impact, Beth participated in a four-day fundraising trek across the Carpathian Mountains, raising funds for the global charity Hope and Homes for Children. This initiative supported orphaned children in Romania, aiming to reunite families, and allowed her to witness firsthand the project’s meaningful impact. Additionally, Beth contributes her time to pro bono projects, notably participating in the World Bank Group’s “Women, Business and the Law” initiative, focusing on laws impacting women’s economic opportunities globally.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Beth is an enthusiastic traveller, having visited 33 countries and counting. She maintains an active and healthy lifestyle through running, yoga, and hiking, and has a passion for art. Beth also enjoys exploring new ideas and perspectives through podcasts, with favourites including “Working Hard” by Grace Beverley, “Secret Diary of a CEO,” and “How to Fail” by Elizabeth Day.
