Sophie Cattermole is a Paralegal in DTM Legal’s Wills, Trusts & Estates department, where she assists with drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Estate Administration matters.
Sophie obtained a 2:1 Bachelor of Laws degree from the Open University, combining studying and working full time within Private Client. Sophie is hoping to progress and complete her SQE to qualify as a solicitor in the near future.
In her role at DTM, Sophie provides support to fee earners, enabling the Trusts and Estates team to operate at peak efficiency. Her key responsibilities are to hold client meetings regarding Lasting Powers of Attorney’s and take instruction directly from clients, drafting Lasting Powers of Attorney, assisting with the drafting of Wills, assisting with Estate Administration by liaising with third parties, drafting Estate Accounts and drafting letters to asset holders.
Sophie regularly represents DTM Legal’s Wills, Trusts and Estates team at business networking events as well as public events, providing insights and support in regarding to estate planning and our private client work. Sophie is also one of our representatives for the Cheshire Later Life Hub, which is a free resource to support our ageing community and their families.

Sophie enjoys keeping fit by going to the gym and hiking. Sophie ran the London Marathon in 2024 to raise funds for Leukaemia Care. Sophie loves to travel, as former cabin crew she was fortunate to travel all over the world, with Hong Kong being a one of her favourite destinations.
