On 6 November, members of the DTM Legal team attended the Older People’s Fair at Kelsall Community Centre as part of the Cheshire Later Life Hub. The annual event, organised by local MP Aphra Brandreth, brings together local charities, health services, social groups, and advice providers under one roof. Its purpose is to give older members of the community – and their families – the chance to discover new ways to stay active, meet new people, and access support on matters such as housing, health, and finances.

The Cheshire Later Life Hub is a free online resource offering guidance on a wide range of issues affecting older people. DTM Legal is proud to contribute legal insight to the platform, providing information on topics including Wills, estate planning, and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

The fair was a valuable opportunity for our team to promote the Later Life Hub as an accessible source of advice, while also speaking directly with attendees seeking support with future planning and legal considerations.

Other exhibitors at the event included: Sanctuary Independent Living North West, Cheshire Constabulary, Age UK Cheshire, Care UK, Kelsall Wellbeing Hub, Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Older People Active Lives (OPAL). The support provided at the older people’s fair has increased year on year, as reflected by the event’s move to a larger location for this year’s event. Legal issues can often be complex, making it difficult for members of the public to know how to approach the challenges they face. DTM Legal team always appreciates an opportunity to support the communities in which we operate, and we look forward to returning for 2026.
