As an experienced litigator, Liz supports her clients in highly contested matters, including negotiations and court proceedings. She provides clear advice tailored to her clients’ specific circumstances. As Liz is only dealing with privately funded work, she has grown accustomed to reflecting it in her approach – managing clients’ expectations, which in private practice are extremely high; she takes a pragmatic but, at the same time, compassionate approach, this way finding the perfect balance and endeavouring to deliver the most efficient and best results for her clients.
Liz is accustomed to dealing with complex and highly contested financial remedy cases involving non-disclosure of assets, pre/post marital assets, personal injury and substantial pension assets.
“I would hope that my clients feel that they can confide in me and I will never be judgmental to them. I believe this is crucial when working in family law, as my clients can undergo some of the darkest moments of their lives and I would like them to feel supported by me throughout the process.”
Liz is a member of the Institute of Chartered Legal Executives and a member of Resolution. As Liz acknowledges the increasing necessity of Mediation in Family disputes, she is keen on completing an accredited qualification to become a Family Mediator in the near future.
Liz has been involved in volunteering in St Helens area, including providing support to homeless people and supporting victims of domestic abuse. She is also multilingual and can assist some non-English speaking clients, as she is fluent in Russian and Latvian.
In her spare time, Liz enjoys travelling, gym, and spending time with her loved ones, including her four pet lovebirds she adores.
