Beth Thompson is a Solicitor in DTM Legal’s, Corporate & Commercial team, where she works on a wide range of acquisitions and corporate legal matters. Beth joined DTM Legal in 2025 as a Paralegal and qualified as a solicitor in 2026. Before joining DTM Legal, Beth gained valuable experience working as a paralegal both in private practice and in-house, building a solid foundation in corporate law.
Education and Training
Beth graduated with a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) from BPP Law School and completed her Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the University of Law, achieving both qualifications whilst working full-time. She has also completed the SQE2 assessments as part of her professional development.
Beth also holds Level 2 qualifications from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) in both the “Fundamentals of Islamic Finance” and the “Fundamentals of Financial Services.”
Role within the DTM Legal Team
As a Solicitor in DTM Legal’s Corporate & Commercial team, Beth supports clients across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters. Her work includes assisting with acquisitions and corporate transactions, managing disclosure exercises and due diligence enquiries, and supporting the preparation and management of transaction documentation and data rooms.
Beth also advises on a range of commercial matters, including the drafting and execution of commercial contracts. She assists clients with trade mark applications and the ongoing management of intellectual property portfolios, as well as carrying out identity verifications for Companies House through DTM Legal’s role as an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP).
Beth actively seeks opportunities to support charitable initiatives and take part in fundraising events, particularly those that combine community engagement with personal fitness challenges. In 2025, she completed the Gower Peninsula Challenge in Wales, walking a marathon alongside three DTM Legal colleagues to raise funds for Dementia UK. She continued her fundraising efforts in 2026 by completing the Edinburgh Marathon in support of Breast Cancer Now. Through these activities, Beth has contributed to important charitable causes while demonstrating the teamwork, resilience and community involvement that she brings to life both within and beyond DTM Legal.

ESG Contribution
Committed to making a positive social impact, Beth participated in a four-day fundraising trek across the Carpathian Mountains, raising funds for the global charity Hope and Homes for Children. This initiative supported orphaned children in Romania, aiming to reunite families, and allowed her to witness firsthand the project’s meaningful impact. Additionally, Beth contributes her time to pro bono projects, notably participating in the World Bank Group’s “Women, Business and the Law” initiative, focusing on laws impacting women’s economic opportunities globally.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Beth is an enthusiastic traveller, having visited 33 countries and counting. She maintains an active and healthy lifestyle through running, yoga, and hiking, and has a passion for art. Beth also enjoys exploring new ideas and perspectives through podcasts, with favourites including “Working Hard” by Grace Beverley, “Secret Diary of a CEO,” and “How to Fail” by Elizabeth Day.
