Robert is a vastly experienced commercial property lawyer, having spent more than 35 years specialising in this aspect of the law. Robert spent many years working in London for some of the biggest Law Firms in the Country getting involved in the electricity privatisation and many other large and complex transactions. Robert moved “North” more than 20 years ago and has been working in Manchester before his recent move to Liverpool.
Recommended in the 2019’s Legal 500, Robert has enormous experience in dealing with leases and associated documentation.
In addition, Robert has organised many developments in both the North West and North East involving entire shopping centres and large hypermarkets. Robert has advised on these projects from the ground upwards, starting with the land acquisition; through the financing; onto the construction documentation; the letting of the development to the ultimate occupier or occupiers; and, finally to the sale of the development as an investment property .
Robert is very family orientated and proud of the fact that he and his wife have just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. With his children having flown the nest, he is now enjoying spending time with the next generation of his family via his three grandchildren. Robert’s main sporting interests are cricket and rugby union, and he is one of the very few supporters of Gillingham FC in the North West!
