Ploughing Match

Once again the DTM Legal team had the privilege of attending the Cheshire Ploughing Match. This annual event is hosted in Ashley, Altrincham and it is one of our favourite events to attend!

What is the Cheshire Ploughing Match?

The Cheshire Ploughing & Hedge Cutting Society organises the Cheshire Ploughing Match which takes place at Ashley Hall each September. The day consists of several ploughing, hedge-laying competitions, and machinery demonstrations. There is also a showground with trade stands, food and a bar for refreshments.

Ploughing competitions include categories for tractors and horses and are a great opportunity to appreciate the skills involved is this vital part of British Heritage. If more modern machinery is what takes your fancy you need to check out the demonstrations and the mechanical hedge cutting competition.

The Cheshire Ploughing Match is the counties best opportunity to attend an agricultural event and see working demonstrations. Did we mention that when there is a break in the demonstrations you can ride in a trailer to come visit the DTM Legal Team and the other trade stands?

DTM Legal at the Cheshire Ploughing Match

DTM Legal LLP specialises in the agricultural sector providing commercial and personal legal services. This is why we think the ploughing match is the perfect opportunity to meet up with a number of our clients and associates. We are happy to have shared a stand with local accountants Rose Rowland & Co and despite the rainy weather this year we enjoyed another successful year for the event.

The DTM team did get to take turns sneaking away from the stand to enjoy some of the competitions and demonstrations and even managed to take some photos which you can check out below. We are very much looking forward to attending again in 2024!
