Nina is an experienced residential property specialist with more than 30 years’ experience acting on behalf of housebuilders and property developers.

Throughout her career, Nina has advised both major national housebuilders and smaller developers on residential schemes of varying sizes, from individual developments through to large-scale projects involving significant numbers of plots. Her experience covers both houses and apartment schemes, including new-build developments and the conversion of existing buildings.

Nina is an ACILEX Paralegal and brings extensive experience from both private practice and working in-house for one of the UK’s leading housebuilders.

Role Within the DTM Legal Team

Nina supports DTM Legal’s residential development work, advising on the legal aspects of bringing residential plots to market and progressing sales through to completion.

Her experience includes the site set-up and subsequent sale of both freehold and leasehold properties, together with part exchange acquisitions and disposals. Having worked closely with housebuilding teams throughout her career, Nina understands the importance of maintaining momentum across a development, identifying potential issues early and progressing transactions efficiently.

Experience

Nina spent more than 20 years working in private practice, gaining experience within both major commercial law firms and specialist property practices. During this time, she developed a particular focus on residential development, acting for a wide range of housebuilders and developers.

She subsequently spent 10 years within the legal department of Redrow Homes. Nina initially worked as a conveyancer, with a particular focus on the housebuilder’s London division.

For the final six years of her time with Redrow, Nina was a Conveyancing Manager, helping to manage the team responsible for plot sales and part exchange transactions across Redrow Homes’ divisions throughout the UK.

This combination of private practice and senior in-house experience enables Nina to approach residential development transactions with a detailed understanding of both the legal requirements and the practical realities of delivering successful developments.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Nina enjoys spending time with friends and family, visiting the theatre and, whenever the opportunity arises, holidaying somewhere sunny.
