Megan Duffy is a Trainee Solicitor at DTM Legal, having previously worked as a Paralegal within the Commercial Property team at DTM Legal.
Megan joined DTM Legal after completing her LLM and LPC at Leeds Beckett University. During her time as a Paralegal, she gained valuable practical experience supporting the Commercial Property team across a range of matters, including retail, industrial and agricultural property transactions, as well as some residential property matters.
Her role involved carrying out legal research, drafting documents and assisting with the day-to-day progression of transactions. Megan also worked closely with clients, responding to queries and helping to ensure matters progressed smoothly.
Having successfully secured a place on DTM Legal’s Trainee Solicitor Programme, Megan began her training contract in September 2026. Over the course of her training, she will complete four seats across different departments within the firm, giving her the opportunity to broaden her legal knowledge and experience before qualifying as a solicitor.
Before joining DTM Legal, Megan gained experience with an international law firm in Manchester, working alongside its Real Estate Litigation team and attending meetings, assisting with drafting and supporting lawyers on live matters. She has also completed work experience with a criminal law firm in Leeds, where she attended Crown Court and Magistrates’ Court hearings and client meetings.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time with friends and family, going out for food and drinks, and walking along the beach with her dogs.
