Louise Harcombe is an Associate Solicitor in the Employment & HR team at DTM Legal. She brings with her specialised training in litigation and a wealth of experience specialising in Employment Tribunal claims and workplace disputes.

Louise gained her undergraduate law degree from the University of Sheffield and after working in other industries, completed her LPC alongside full time work as a paralegal and later as a trainee solicitor in the dispute resolution team at a boutique sports law firm in Newmarket working for high profile and high net worth individuals covering civil litigation and employment services.

Following a relocation to the North West after qualifying as a solicitor, Louise specialised in employment and HR law, with her primary focus on defending employment tribunal claims for SMEs.

Louise provides clear, strategic legal advice that helps employers and HR teams seamlessly navigate the full spectrum of workplace challenges. She brings a commercial empathy and understanding of the working world and the impact issues have on individuals involved, including managers and business owners which together with her sharp litigious background helps guide businesses through complex claims with a constant eye on efficient, cost-effective resolutions that protect their bottom line and their reputation.

Louise can advise on post termination restrictions, discrimination, grievances, conduct and behaviour issues, redundancy, TUPE, senior exits, staff absence and illness as well as without prejudice settlement advice and offers a tailored full spectrum of support throughout an employment tribunal claim with a particular focus on defence for medium sized businesses.

Growing up in a tied cottage on a farm in Suffolk and being a large part of her parents’ equestrian exploits growing up, Louise has traded east coast for west coast and horses for boats, as she now enjoys sailing in North Wales as a worthy alternative sinkhole for her disposable time and money.
