Lewis Nolan is a Trainee Solicitor at DTM Legal, having previously worked as a Paralegal within our Property Litigation team.

Lewis joined DTM Legal after graduating from Liverpool John Moores University with a degree in Law. During his time as a Paralegal, he gained valuable practical experience working on a variety of contentious matters involving both commercial and residential property.

His work within the Property Litigation team included assisting with residential possession claims, including the preparation of notices and possession proceedings, as well as supporting colleagues on commercial property disputes involving matters such as break notices, dilapidations and security of tenure. Lewis also carried out legal research and worked closely with clients to understand their objectives and keep them informed as matters progressed.

Having successfully secured a place on DTM Legal’s Trainee Solicitor Programme, Lewis is now completing his training contract with the firm. During his time as a Trainee Solicitor, he will complete four seats across different departments, giving him the opportunity to gain experience in a range of legal specialisms before qualifying as a solicitor.

This broad training will allow Lewis to build on the contentious experience he developed within Property Litigation while expanding his legal knowledge and gaining experience of different types of client work across the firm.

Outside of DTM Legal, Lewis has taken part in the United Nations Sustainable Development Programme in Vietnam and has spoken at a Legal Professional Evening hosted by Liverpool John Moores University, sharing his experience and advice with those considering a career in law. He has also participated successfully in mooting competitions.

In his spare time, Lewis enjoys football and regularly follows Liverpool FC, as well as reading fantasy and science fiction.
