Kate Roberts charity cycle

Kate Roberts, a Partner at DTM Legal, and Norman McGarry will be cycling from London to Amsterdam to raise money for Alder Hey Children’s Charity. They have self funded the challenge which means that every single penny raised will go to the charity.

Kate and Norman will cover approximately 360 miles over 4 days and the challenge takes place from 6 – 9 June 2018. It is by no means a challenge for the faint of heart and will involve 4 consecutive long days in the saddle.

An snapshot of the route they will be taking is set out below;

Day1: London to Calais
The challenge begins bright and early from Crystal Palace heading south en route to the white cliffs of Dover with plenty of hills in between. The ferry takes them across to Calais and our first nights resting place. 95 miles (approx.)

Day 2: Calais to Bruges
A slightly easier day in the saddle for day 2. The relatively flat route follows the coast through the Belgian border before turning inland toward the evening’s accommodation in beautiful Bruges. 80 miles (approx)

Day 3: Bruges to Breda
An early start is needed as they take on their longest day, but thanks to the Dutch landscape the route is relatively flat and they will wind their way down through yet more beautiful countryside towards Breda. 95 miles (approx)

Day 4: Breda to Amsterdam
Their last day in the saddle, another long one but a final push and they will be pedalling around the outskirts and heading in towards the bright lights of Amsterdam. 90 miles (approx.)

All and any donations, however small, will be greatly received.  Every penny really does help
