Having completed my degree at Liverpool University and post-graduate qualifications at Chester College of Law, I qualified as a solicitor in 2005, specialising in Corporate and Commercial work. Before pursuing a legal career, I worked for MBNA Bank and the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games. My main areas of interest and expertise are in mergers and acquisitions and commercial contracts (with a sporting, entertainment or IT bias).
Whilst I have undertaken mergers & acquisitions across all sectors, I have obtained specific experience in recent years of the care sector, having completed numerous care-related transactions ranging from £500,000 asset sales to a £10 million share sale. I am also currently working on a multi-million pound software development joint venture project. I enjoy the fact that the work I do enables me to engage with the variety of characters involved in business and work alongside entrepreneurs to try to assist them to fulfill their, often considerable, ambitions.
Outside of work, I try to fit in as much sport as possible (particularly mountain biking, adventure racing, trail running, skiing and football) into the busy timetable that comes with having two young children (William and Holly) and an equally busy wife (Bree). |
