Before training to be a Solicitor, I worked as a tourism and conservation officer at a National Park in Nepal and taught English in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I am Fluent in French and studied French Law at Bordeaux University where together with core subjects such as civil law I studied the law of wine and vineyards, international relations and maritime law at Masters level together with playing semi-professional rugby for a local team in my spare time.
I specialise in commercial freehold property, secured lending, insolvency property work, agricultural and landed estate work including complex voluntary land registrations (the largest to date being 5,000 acres). I act for developers undertaking strategic site reviews, acquisitions, assembly and development work. I also act for owners of mixed property portfolios and work closely with our corporate team supporting them on commercial transactions which can range from a review of property warranties to Property led multi-million pound transactions. I have two young children Megan and Guy who keep me on my toes! I am passionate about sport - playing rugby for Chester, rowing and whilst I enjoy golf, my putting remains a work in progress! I pride myself on my cooking and baking skills, which Megan and Guy enjoy getting involved in too, at any given opportunity –the favourites being my chocolate cake and Gâche Melée (a traditional pudding from Guernsey where I grew up). |
