I chose to specialise in Employment law as it is an increasingly challenging and complex area of law and one that affects everyone at some point.
I have advised a wide range of employer and employee clients on a range of contentious and non-contentious issues in Employment Tribunals, County and High Court, including: recruitment, unfair dismissal, redundancy (including collective consultation requirements), discrimination, transfer regulations, negotiating and drafting compromise agreements, restrictive covenants, policy documentation and breach of contract.
I am a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
Before beginning my legal career I spent some time travelling around South America one of the highlights of the trip was visiting Machu Picchu, Peru (‘the lost Inca city’). Outside of work my main interest is rugby and over the years I have played for Sale Sharks 2nd team, Waterloo FC, Manchester Rugby Club, Altrincham Kersal and Cheshire winning the County Championship Shield at Twickenham.
I am authorised by the Rugby Football Union (RFU) to advise Rugby Clubs or Professional Rugby Players concerning the transfer, employment or registration of any Professional Rugby Player with a Rugby Club (including negotiating on the terms). |
