The Employment team act predominantly for employers, though we also regularly act for employees, advising upon all aspects of employment work.

Non-Contentious Employment Work

Clients benefit from specialist employment advice on business transfers (for vendors and purchasers on a sale or purchase of a business as a going concern), drafting and implementing contractual documents, service agreements including senior executives and directors, staff handbooks and policies across a variety of industries.

We provide expert and pragmatic advice to a wide range of individuals including HR professionals, Company Directors and CEOs on employment issues on employment issues including assisting with preparation of correspondence, guidance notes and policy decision making, discipline and grievance and reorganisation and redundancy schemes.
We also deal with the drafting and negotiation of documents entered into upon the termination of an employment relationship, including compromise agreements and industry specific restrictive covenants, and can offer bespoke in-house client training including role-plays, workshops and seminars to improve working relationships.

Contentious Employment Work

We aim to work closely with clients to identify issues before they become problems and advise proactively.

Our employment team have experience in defending and bringing claims in all Courts and particularly dealing with all types of claim pursued in Employment Tribunals, ranging from unfair dismissal to discrimination and transfer regulations and multi-claimant claims in the Employment Appeal Tribunal.

We aim to offer pragmatic advice and always look for solutions that satisfy specific client needs, and, if desired, we will conduct Tribunal proceedings from start to finish (including representation) or, alternatively, provide advice as to particular aspects throughout the development of a case.
