This prestigious award recognises the spirit of entrepreneurship and hard work which has made Cheshire one of the most successful counties in the UK, despite the recession. The main High Sheriff’s Award for Enterprise is worth a healthy £10,000 to the winning company who has shown true enterprising ability and business flair in 2011. There are also awards for Corporate Social Responsibility and Innovation, each carrying a prize of £3000.
More importantly, all the nominated companies will earn genuine recognition locally, with the media covering the event. The University helps organise these awards to build close links between academia and business and as a way of celebrating excellence in the commercial sector.
