DTM Legal, one of the North West’s fastest growing specialist commercial law firms, has acted for The Marine Group in the company’s recent refinancing deal with Santander Corporate Banking.

The Marine Group, which sells and fixes boats in Cardiff and Swansea, plans to use the monies raised to extend existing marina facilities in Milford and to expand marine services by opening a dry stack centre. 

Future plans for the business also include an expansion of Cardiff Marine Village with the acquisition of new land and the inclusion of further new businesses, as well as the proposed installation of a 33,000kwh solar panel system.

Santander is also providing additional management support as part of the funding package, which has been arranged in partnership with investment from Finance Wales – a scheme which makes commercial investments in Wales-based small to medium sized businesses.
