RACE FOR LIFE IS SUPPORTED BY QUEEN’S SCHOOL AND DTM LEGAL

Over 200 Queen’s School supporters of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life will walk or run the 5km course round Chester Racecourse on Sunday 19 June. They will be easy to spot in their eye-catching pink T shirts specially sponsored by award winning commercial law specialists, DTM Legal.

The T shirts designed by Mrs Long, creative assistant at the Lower School, were chosen by Mrs Talbot, staff member at the Lower School. Mrs Talbot (pictured front row, left) is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

Many will wear a personal back sign to share with others why they took part. This is a very moving part of the day as the back signs are often dedicated in memory or in celebration of loved ones affected by cancer. Already over 4,200 back signs are designed and registered for the race in Chester.

Anna Duffy, Partner for DTM Legal based in Chester, commented: “Cancer affects so many lives in the UK whether directly or indirectly and funding for research is critical if we are to continue to effectively fight this disease. DTM Legal is delighted to be able to help support this event and I am really looking forward to taking part along with my daughters Megan and Emily.”

Sarah Clark, headmistress at The Queen’s School said; “We have seen so many people’s lives affected by cancer here at the school and this is a positive way we can help. My congratulations and thanks to everyone taking part and donating.”

Graham Smith, Marketing and Communications Intern for Cancer Research UK said: “It is a fantastic achievement for Queen’s School to be entering over 200 supporters for Race for Life in Chester.”
