It does not take much to stir the competitive spirit of the team at DTM and so when an invitation to take part in a fundraising “Pro-Am” cricket tournament at the scenic Cholmondeley Cricket Ground came through the post, the challenge was taken up with both hands.

The event was organised and sponsored by DTM client, The Contact Company, and provided an ideal opportunity for DTM to pull together some of the firm’s finest cricketing talents to take on all challengers!

But where was the cricketing talent?  Although DTM has

The "Am" side of the "Pro-Am" competition

 doubled in size since they opened the doors almost 3 years ago it became quickly apparent that we were in trouble when a number of the usual DTM sporting suspects suddenly had “other engagements” when news of the fact that various Pakistani international bowlers would be making an appearance. 

However, after some gentle persuasion a fine team made up of DTM staff, clients and contacts was selected to take on the mighty Contact Company and others in the “friendly” pro-am limited overs tournament.

The stage was set for a mighty clash but it was soon clear that The Contact Company had focussed more on the “Pro” side of the competition, while DTM was decidedly more “Am”. 

It was however a competitively fought battle where the DTM team performed magnificently, with some even claiming the scalps of the aforementioned international cricketers.  However, there was only ever going to be one winner – so many congratulations to The Contact Company.
